Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What types of microphones are compatible with this boom arm mic stand?
A: This desk microphone boom arm is compatible with most standard microphones that weigh up to 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg), including USB condenser mics, dynamic mics, and XLR studio microphones commonly used for gaming, podcasting, and studio recording. Check that your mic's thread fits the standard 5/8" adapter.
Q: How does the desk clamp attach, and will it damage my desk?
A: The microphone boom arm uses a secure desk-clamp mount that tightens with a knob, gripping the edge of your desk without requiring drilling or permanent installation. A protective pad is typically included to prevent surface scratches, making it safe for most desk surfaces.
Q: Can I adjust the arm during a live stream or recording session?
A: Yes! Simply loosen the adjustment knobs slightly, reposition the arm using the 360° base rotation, 240° shaft movement, or 270° metal adapter, then retighten. The process is quick and quiet enough to use even during an active session.
