Important Wiring Notes

• The 50A and 100A kits include a shunt; the 10A kit does not require one.
• For 50A or 100A models, the shunt must always be connected to measure current — even when the actual current is under 10A. Failure to connect the shunt will damage the meter.
• Maximum input voltage to the instrument must not exceed 30V on the power supply wires.
• Connect the thick black wire to the negative pole of the power source, and the thick red wire to the negative pole of the load.
• All rectified AC power supplies must be filtered with an electrolytic capacitor of 1000µF or higher before powering the meter.
• If the current display shows 0.00 or 0.0 with correct voltage, recheck wiring — this is almost always a connection issue, not a faulty meter.
